Plain language definitions for the boxing, promotion, training, ranking, and fight night terms used in Punch Promoter.
Backend points
Extra fighter pay based on a share of event upside. Eligible main event and co main fighters can receive it on top of guaranteed purse money.
Bout
One fight between two boxers.
Broadcast
Event income from network rights or pay per view. The available level depends on draw, venue, and card depth.
Camp focus
Up to three trainable attributes emphasized in a booked fighter's camp. If the mail decision expires, style based defaults are used.
Card
The ordered bill of bouts on one promoted fight night. It has a main event, co main, and undercard positions.
Career health
Permanent wear tracked through Punch Wear, Vision, and Hand Condition. Ordinary rest does not restore it.
Co promotion
The outside promotion path used when a player's title fight is not staged on their own eligible card. The fighter is paid and the player receives a smaller promoter fee.
Draw power
The audience value of a boxer or matchup. Popularity, rank, belts, and title history contribute to event demand and broadcast opportunity.
Fight purse
Money paid to a fighter for a bout. A contract includes a purse percentage, while title and event rules can also affect the final amount.
Gate
Ticket revenue from a promoted fight night. Venue capacity limits attendance.
Mandatory challenger
The named contender a world belt orders its champion to face. Different belts held by one champion can name different mandatories.
OVR
Overall rating. A weighted summary of all 18 current attributes.
POT
The fighter's lifetime potential ceiling. It is not guaranteed growth, and age can reduce how much of the remaining gap is reachable.
Promoter Pass
An optional one time purchase that unlocks the current extra save slots. It does not increase roster capacity or give in game money.
Projected net
The card editor's estimate of event revenue minus event expenses. The final settled result can differ.
Reputation
The promotion's standing. It affects recruiting credibility, sponsorship, and access to fight nights and larger venues.
Sanctioning body
One of the four fictional organizations that ranks fighters and awards world belts: GBC, UBA, IPF, and PBO.
Show rating
A summary of the delivered fight night. It affects sponsor bonuses and the promotion's future drawing power.
Signing interest
The displayed chance that a fighter accepts a contract offer. Better terms and promotion strength can improve it, but it is not a guarantee.
Sponsor objective
A fight night sponsor arrangement with guaranteed event money and a bonus for reaching a target show rating.
Training camp
The preparation period created when a fight is booked. A full camp lasts six weeks and provides temporary bonuses for that bout.
Unified champion
A boxer holding more than one world belt in the same division.
Undisputed champion
A boxer holding all four world belts in the same division.
Venue capacity
The seat limit and bout limit associated with a fight night venue. Capacity creates potential upside but does not guarantee sales.
