World and Calendar

Reference the game calendar, weight classes, sanctioning bodies, title tiers, rankings, and world screens.

Punch Promoter runs a persistent boxing world. The calendar and division structure give every contract, camp, ranking, title, and event a place.

Calendar

Time advances through Continue Week. Four weeks make a game month. Twelve game months make a 48 week year. Rankings and permanent development have monthly processing points, while finance warnings are assessed at quarterly boundaries.

Fight scheduling uses future weeks so camps, recovery, and card building have time to occur. A new fight night draft begins with a future event week that can be adjusted while the bill is empty. Once a bout is attached, the week is pinned.

Weight classes

The game currently contains 12 divisions, from lightest to heaviest:

  1. Flyweight
  2. Bantamweight
  3. Super Bantamweight
  4. Featherweight
  5. Super Featherweight
  6. Lightweight
  7. Super Lightweight
  8. Welterweight
  9. Super Welterweight
  10. Middleweight
  11. Light Heavyweight
  12. Heavyweight

Fighters compete within their own division. Weight is not changed through training or a player controlled move between classes.

Sanctioning bodies

The four fictional world organizations are:

AbbreviationName
GBCGlobal Boxing Council
UBAUnited Boxing Alliance
IPFInternational Prizefighting Federation
PBOPremier Boxing Organization

Each organization maintains a world belt and its own ranking context in every division. A fighter can be positioned differently across the four bodies.

Title levels

Regional belts establish champions within regions and open wider recruiting access for the promotion. World belts belong to the four organizations. A boxer holding several world belts is unified. A boxer holding all four in the division is undisputed.

World belts can name individual mandatory challengers. The Titles screen is the current source for the holder, mandatory, deadline, and primary line status.

World screens

Use Boxers to compare the active population, Gyms to inspect organizations, Fights for the schedule and results, and Belts for title state. Home tells you what your promotion needs now. World tells you how that decision fits the sport.
