Rankings, Titles, and Mandatories

Move fighters through rankings, win regional and world belts, and answer mandatory orders without losing control of the career.

Rankings turn good matchmaking into title opportunities. A fighter needs credible results, activity, and the right opponents. The number beside a boxer is a current position, not permanent status.

Read the ladders

Punch Promoter has global and regional context plus separate ladders for four fictional sanctioning bodies: GBC, UBA, IPF, and PBO. A fighter can hold different positions in each body.

Rankings update on the monthly game boundary. Wins over useful opposition generally help more than beating unranked fighters. Losses and inactivity can cost ground. Open the fighter screen to see current ranks and recent movement rather than relying on the position shown several weeks earlier.

Regional and world titles

Regional titles are an important step between prospect building and the world stage. They also expand the promotion's recruiting reach. World titles belong to the four sanctioning bodies. Holding more than one world belt in a division creates a unified champion. Holding all four makes the champion undisputed.

The eligible opponent list and title labels show when a bout can carry a belt. You do not manually choose any fighter in the world and declare a title fight. The current rankings, belt state, health, schedule, and matchup rules determine what is available.

Mandatory challengers are named per belt

Each held world belt can have its own named mandatory challenger. A unified champion may therefore owe different defenses for different belts. The Titles screen shows the belt, holder, mandatory, and due information.

When a mandatory order involving your promotion requires a choice, it arrives through Mail.

If your boxer is the champion, you can defend the specific belt against the named mandatory or vacate it. If your boxer is the challenger, you can take the shot or step aside. Stepping aside prevents that boxer from immediately being named again for the same belt.

Do not wait for the last moment

A booked defense protects the belt while the fight is pending. A neglected world belt can eventually be vacated for inactivity. Unified champions receive staggered pressure, but extra belts still create extra obligations.

The safe habit is simple: check World, then Titles, before booking a voluntary bout for a champion. A mandatory message and its current belt state are more authoritative than a general strategy rule.

Promoting title fights

Regional title fights need at least a theater level venue and world title fights need at least an arena level venue when placed on your own card. If the promotion cannot stage the required venue, a title opportunity can still proceed outside a player promoted card through the co promotion path.
